Orphaned families meeting

When a child dies, a family's entire life is suddenly shattered and nothing is the same. Holidays such as Christmas, Easter, birthdays or even vacation trips are suddenly so different without the deceased child and especially difficult to bear for the family left behind. The parents feel lonely and abandoned. Therefore, it was a great pleasure for our association that 10 families accepted our invitation to the meeting of orphaned families in Torgau. During this weekend we created a space for the families to grieve, which may be difficult in everyday life. And we gave a place to the memory of all the children who are not or no longer allowed to grow up with us and yet belong so closely to us. In addition to many conversations and lively exchanges, we visited the State Garden Show together, toured the old town and the castle. Time passed much too quickly and now everyone is patiently waiting for the next meeting.
