Sports therapy

Sport accelerates the healing process and activates the body's self-healing powers. Exercise is also fun. There is boxing training in bed, basketball games in the room, soccer games on the ward or rowing in the sports room. There are hardly any limits to sporting activities. Some children simply enjoy a walk in the fresh air.

Since 02.05.2022, Kristin Kaltenhäuser has been working as a sports therapist on the ward on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14:00 to 17:00.

On Wednesdays, parents can get active in the parent sports group with UKH sports therapist Jana Stolle and leave the stresses and strains of everyday life on the ward behind them for a while.

Since February 2024, Kinderplanet has been offering children's sports outside the pediatric oncology outpatient clinic in collaboration with UKH sports therapist Jana Stolle. This takes place every second Wednesday of the month from 10:00 to 11:30.
