Dive into the Secret World of Turisede

There is a secret world where people live in tents and treehouses—far away from our civilization, completely without cell service or media sources, and idyllically situated amid the greenery along the Neisse River—the Secret World of Turisede.

This is where our sibling group ended up from July 24–26, 2026.

There was an incredible amount for everyone to discover on the Kulturinsel Einsiedel. Just spending the night in the glamping tents was a special experience.

On the park grounds, we found plenty of wild climbing and play areas, hidden underground tunnels, and tubes high up in the air. Boredom was the last thing on anyone’s mind here. For those looking for a change of pace, there was the chance to carve cool pendants out of soapstone and take them home as a great souvenir.

After so much activity, of course, we needed some relaxation. The warm water in the “Kannibalenkessel” gave us the much-needed rest before our courage was put to the test late Friday evening in the darkness at the witching hour.

Like true Turiseder residents, we made our way to the gathering at Krönum on Saturday evening, where—in addition to a delicious multi-course buffet—we experienced a genuine Turiseder coronation ceremony with plenty of singing, humor, and acrobatics on stage.

But even though our time in Turisede was so magical and wonderful, everyone realized that there’s no place like home with one’s own family. So on Sunday, we left this enchanting place with mixed feelings—both happy and sad.

This project is made possible by a grant from the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
