“Roll film!” was the call for our families on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Cinemaxx Halle. Thanks to Sportpark Halle, our association was once again able to host a morning movie screening during summer break, complete with popcorn, snacks, nachos, and drinks. We watched “Toy Story 5.”
This is always a special experience for our families, especially when the children are currently undergoing chemotherapy. Since chemotherapy severely weakens the immune system, it’s not advisable for our children to attend public events with large crowds during treatment to protect them from infections. Going to the movies is therefore not suitable during this time and should be avoided. This makes it all the more wonderful that, thanks to the Sportpark and Cinemaxx in Halle, we’ve been able to offer private movie screenings exclusively for our families for many years now. This makes a trip to the movies possible even during treatment.
