Bright sunshine and many enthusiastic faces could be seen on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Ziegelwiese on the Saale River in Halle.
The “Rowing Against Cancer” charity regatta invited people of all ages to come together and send a strong message in the fight against cancer.
Attendees could watch the exciting rowing races or stop by the many different booths to learn about various organizations and their offerings.
At the wheel of fortune at our information booth, visitors had the chance to win a cool bag or water bottle from our club and learn a little more about our work.
But our club wasn’t just represented on land. As in previous years, former patients rowed as representatives of our club in the adult division and made it to the semifinals, finishing among the top 9. Congratulations to our Vikings on this achievement!
A total of three boats competed in the NetzwerkActiveOncoKids Cup in the children’s and youth division. Of these, two boats representing our clinic in Halle took to the water and secured first and third place. The guests from Leipzig were delighted with their second-place finish. Congratulations to all participants here as well!
And the team from our pediatric oncology department at Halle University Hospital also created a great atmosphere for their “Mut-Matrosen” team!
