Taking a day off from their desks to immerse themselves in a social organization—that’s exactly what more than 20 employees from HWG’s Human Resources, IT, and Central Services departments did on September 21, 2026, spending a “Social Day” at our clubhouse.
After an introduction to our organization and a tour of the building, everyone rolled up their sleeves and pitched in, helping our team with a variety of tasks around the house and in the garden.
Hedges and bushes were trimmed, the patio was cleaned, the playhouse in the garden got a fresh coat of paint, windows were washed, the pool table was given a thorough cleaning, shelves were assembled, and trash was hauled away.
For lunch, our guests even prepared various grilled delicacies, bread, dips, and salads, and treated us to this colorful and absolutely delicious buffet!
Since the ground floor of our clubhouse will be transformed into a construction site over the next few weeks and given a new look, we were able to make good headway on this project as well after the lunch break, thanks to some serious teamwork. The toys in our playroom have already been packed into boxes and moved to the basement, and our craft room is gradually being emptied as well. In a few weeks, we’ll welcome another group of volunteers from HWG to our clubhouse, who will take on additional preparatory work for the upcoming renovation.
This day has shown us once again just how much can be achieved when many people work together!
