Since October 2024, our FSJ volunteer Lana has been supporting our team in our daily work. During their voluntary service, volunteers are also required to attend seminars, which in Lana's case are organized and run by the AWO's Landesjugendwerk (State Youth Welfare Service). Here, they meet many other FSJ volunteers from other institutions and have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn new things. In a variety of ways, the seminar groups also collect donations throughout the year, which are ultimately to be presented to a charitable organization of their choice. For example, bottle deposits were added to the donation pot, as were the funds raised from the auction of special memorabilia from the FSJ period.
After all the positive impressions of our work that Lana shared with her group during the seminars, our association was one of the organizations suggested by the teenagers and young adults.
Last week, we received a visit from the Landesjugendwerk (State Youth Organization). The volunteers from the six seminar groups collected an impressive €967.00 over the entire period of 2024/25 and decided to donate this fantastic sum to our Kinderplanet.
